Terakbar fashion event in Indonesia Jakarta Fashion Week 09/10 finally opened on Saturday (14/11) by Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo at Pacific Place, Jakarta.


Jakarta Fashion Week Fauzi hope it can advance the Indonesian fashion industry and make Jakarta as one of the world's fashion capital is taken into account internationally. "This event has significance to provide stimulus to the development of the fashion industry, textile, and traders, as well as economic development which will strengthen kretaif Jakarta as a city of fashion,''said Fauzi said in his speech.

"India and Indonesia have a relationship already hundreds of years in various fields including fashion. Through Jakarta Fashion Week, we could see the two countries share cultural heritage," said Biren Nanda, Ambassador of India to Indonesia.

Course of the event is also supported by BRI that since three years ago began to enter the urban market and lifestyle targeting, in particular fashion, as space exploration. General Manager Marketing Communication BRI Tbk Word Taufick said participation in supporting JFW had two purposes. First, he said, most of the fashion industry who are outside major cities are on the small and medium scale enterprises.
